Daisy was a peculiar cat who loved to dress up in her mistress´ clothes and dance and prance around the house with not a care in the world. That is unless she was interrupted by sweet, little, Michael, the mouse. Michael would often sneak about the house searching for scraps of food. During his search he would frequently cross paths with Daisy. Just the mere sight of Michael would infuriate Daisy. She wanted no one to interfere with her reverie and felt that Michael was doing it intentionally. But poor Michael was often just plain hungry and wanted no part of Daisy´s folly. So he would do his best to avoid her. However, this one fateful day he caused a calamity in the kitchen, by reaching for a piece of cheese and falling into an open grape jelly jar. The mess he made was beyond belief and when Daisy rushed into the kitchen and became involved in the chaos, a confrontation between the two ensued. There was an eventual solution to their mutual problem resulting in an unusual, but happy ending. This book is especially illustrated for reading out loud or for a beginner to read alone.
